Certain work place activities and tasks may carry risks where upon the health and wellbeing of the individual is important to be medical assessed to ensure there are fit for the task they are undertaking.
Examples of other medical assessments Occupational Health can carry out are:
- night worker assessment: post offer of employment and annually thereafter where indicated
- lone worker assessment: post offer of employment only unless advised by employee or manager of a change on health status where lone working may pose a risk to health
- food handler assessment: post offer of employment only - subsequent reviews should be carried out in the department in line with food standards agency guidance
